BARCELONA, SPAIN — Today, Lenovo teased its latest concept for a solar-powered laptop called the Yoga Solar PC.
Nowadays, the market has a few solar-powered laptops, but they’re infamously cumbersome and expensive.

Lenovo solves this issue by placing its solar panels on top of its clamshell or the screen part.
Tech website ZDNet says they stick behind a sleek, glassy black that “almost passes for a normal laptop.”
Moreover, the device itself is notably thin and light, weighing only 2.6 lbs or 1.22 kilos.
The Yoga Solar PC absorbs sunlight and even ambient light, meaning it can gain energy from indoor lamps.
It can absorb enough light energy to power an hour of video playback.
Lenovo says this limited amount will reduce power consumption so that customers won’t have to worry about dwindling battery life.
Instead of scrambling to recharge the device, the user may just plug in the solar panels to continue working.
This solar-powered laptop does not have a specific release date and price. Yet, such concept designs share a glimpse into the future of technology.
