vivo V60 series dazzles in chic colors, impresses in performance for a mid-range phone

You know that one nice friend you have who always wears pastel, looks effortlessly cool, and rises to the occasion—especially when you least expect it? That’s somewhat like the new vivo V60 phone, from the vivo smartphone series that dazzles in chic colors and gives an impressive performance for a mid-range device. This review details why the vivo V60 deserves your second look:
First impressions, Design

The vivo V60 is thin and sleek, as you would expect from a vivo phone. It feels nice to the grip and can be showcased even without a silicone case as they come in “summer” colors, as vivo itself would suggest, in fun descriptions such as Berry Red, Summer Blue, and Mist Gray. The phone comes with a curved glass edge, which gives it a premium feel, and inside every box is a silicone case that matches the aesthetic of the phone. For this review, the team was given a Summer Blue variant, and instantly, references to the Frutiger Aero design came to mind, as the phone reveled in bright, bluish-green glass-like imagery upon boot up. For anyone who’s had it already with overdone black and white monochromatic colors, the vivo V60 series is a sight for tired users.
Performance from inside the chassis
Now, inside the vivo V60 are hardware pieces that rise to the occasion. With a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chip, with 12Gb of RAM, the phone is powered by a faster CPU and stronger GPU, which can handle multi-tasking (perfect for the chronically online market), and gaming (to an extent—the team advises not to rely on this phone for hardware-intensive mobile games as users may experience device heating and occasional lagging if pushed). The phone also comes with a very generous 512 GB storage, which, for anyone who does not second guess capturing moments at any given time, is a plus factor as users can forget about running out of storage for long periods of time. The AMOLED display is a feast for the eyes, with a screen that is consistently bright and sharp at any viewing angle.
The vivo V60 Bluevolt battery performance is also something to laud at. At 6,500 mAh, a user is guaranteed power for almost the entire day under normal usage. And because it comes with 90 W fast charging via cable, you are assured that you can juice up quickly, so you can always be on the go without worrying about having to spend precious time just filling up its battery. However, be advised that this phone does not come with wireless charging, so you really will be cable-bound when you need to charge it.
A phone that’s ready for day-to-day battles

The vivo V60 is dust-proof, drop-proof, and most importantly, waterproof. Just like smartwatches, the V60 boasts of one-tap water ejection feature that lets you expel water (or even dust) with a single tap that triggers 30 seconds of high-frequency sound, which keeps its ports clean and clear. No need to bury this phone under mounds of rice!
Photography and Videography-ready, for when you want to seize the moment
The vivo V60 boasts of 50 MP for the main camera, 50 MP telephoto with 3x optical zoom, and an 8 MP ultrawide. Bring it to any daytime photowalk and you can capture vibrant imagery, with its own AI Image Studio providing help where necessary, such as removing glare, unwanted parts, or enhancing the images (especially on zoom mode) for a more wow factor. However, much can still be improved for its low light performance, but again, for a mid-range phone, it gets the photography job done. One can document everything while virtually forgetting about storage and post processing. For the team, that is a win.

A charmer of a mid-range smartphone

The vivo V60, if personified, is well dressed and comes full of energy and excitement, thereby a pleasure to have close to you. It does many things excellently, such as large battery capacity, quality cameras, and pretty design. But just like any other person, it comes with its own set of imperfections, but the team places confidence in vivo that in its next wave of phones, their mid-range series will have bettered itself in its areas of improvement.

If your priorities are battery life, multi-tasking capability, and photography flexibility, then it’s a compelling pick. It’s a strong contender, and it’s a phone you won’t want to hide under a case (though you probably should for protection, because we just love dropping our phones accidentally, don’t we).
The vivo V60 starts at Php 28,999 and now available nationwide at vivo official stores, kiosks, and online through the vivo e-store, Shopee, and TikTok Shop.
