Resident Evil Requiem leaks – Capcom issues statement warning of possible spoilers
If you’re a Resident Evil fan and have actively been online using the internet, now might be a good time to avoid your favorite social media circles and communities. Resident Evil Requiem, the latest entry in the long running survival horror series has leaked, bringing the dangers of possible spoilers being posted way before the highly anticipated sequel releases for consoles and PC next week.

A tweet from Dusk Golem, a known leaker from the Resident Evil community, states that physical copies of the latest mainline entry in the Resident Evil series were sold, leaving the possibility that other copies of the game may have found their way out to the public too.
Following the numerous posts and DMCA takedowns of videos and screenshots containing spoilers from the game, Capcom has released an official statement requesting fans not to post or share those pre-release leaks.
“Please don’t post or share pre-release leaks and oilers from Resident Evil Requiem,”writes the official statement. “We really want everyone to enjoy the game’s story and experience as much as possible. Our legal department will continue to issue takedowns and deletion notices for leaks in order to preserve your day-one experience”
Resident Evil is the ninth installment of the Survival Horror franchise that’s celebrating its 30th anniversary in March. Requiem centers on new protagonist, Grace Ashcroft, who is dispatched to a hotel to investigate a series of strange deaths and occurrences.
Kidnapped by a mysterious group who may have ties to the death of her mother Alyssa, Grace soon finds herself caught in a conspiracy that sees her team up with veteran government agent, Raccoon City survivor, and fan favorite series protagonist Leon S. Kennedy.
Resident Evil Requiem will be released for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and PC on February 27.
