Singapore’s Motiv Esports wins VCL 2026 SEA Split 1
MANILA, Philippines – Motiv Esports (MTV) were crowned champions of the VALORANT Challengers (VCL) Southeast Asia Split 1 after defeating Thailand’s Sharper Esport (SPE) 3-1 on March 29, 2026.

Revenge in the Grand Finals
The Singapore-based squad sought revenge when they went up against SPE in the Grand Finals.
SPE was dominant throughout the Playoffs, beating MTV in the Upper Bracket Final, 2-1, that sent the latter to the Lower Brackets.
MTV then survived the Lower Bracket Final by eliminating 555, 3-2.
A landslide victory
Despite the Upper Bracket Final results, MTV stayed ahead in the best-of-five match against SPE.
Game 1 in Bind was SPE’s only victory after a close 16-14 rounds in a match that lasted over 70 minutes.
Game 2 in Haven was a quick and decisive, 13-9 victory for MTV that marked the beginning of their win streak.
This continued towards Game 3 in Haven, and finally Game 4 in Breeze where MTV ended the Finals with a 13-5 score.
Derrick “Deryeon” Yee led the squad as MVP of the Match with a KDA of 83/54/14, and achieved the highest ACS in the match at 231.
Teammates, Rodman “Vera” Yap and French/Singaporean, Henri “Flaring” Forichon, followed behind with a KDA of 75/69/23 and 75/61/39 KDA, respectively.
Australian Initiator, Jackson “Minimise” White, recorded the highest assists, 49, in the match.
“It feels like the theme of this whole tournament is that we’re slowly evolving and becoming better in each map that we play,” said Minimise during the post-match interview with hosts Dion “Komodo” Pirotta and Mitchell “Conky” Concanen.
“We just keep trying to think of solutions, keep trying to adapt and it’s like a really good mindset,” he added.
MTV will take home $12,500, and SPE will receive $10,000.
