Black Cat joins Marvel Rivals roster for Season 7.5

With Marvel Rivals Season 7 entering its second half another playable character is joining the fray. Felicia Hardy also known as Black Cat the elusive master thief is joining the roster as it’s 49th hero after White Fox. Voice actress Erica Lindbeck reprises her role in Insomniac Game’s Marvel Spider-Man.

Black Cat is built around mobility and flanking, using her claws for quick burst damage while staying hard to pin down. She can climb walls and double-jump, which makes her one of the more evasive characters in a fight. At the center of her kit is the Grappling Hook, which lets her steal coin-like Fortune from enemies.

That Fortune fuels the rest of her gameplay because she can trade it for items from the New York Thieves Guild’s vault, like the Ring of Zona, the Helm of Hades, and even the Mento-Fish once possessed by Namor to buff her up. These include invisibility, enemy reveals, portal creation, and cleanse effects, giving her more utility than most Duelist-type characters.

It’s a layered kit that takes time to fully understand, but once optimized, she has the tools to control fights and punish positioning mistakes consistently. Her unique kit does take a lot of time and practice to master but she be a blast to play once you get the hang of it.

The newest Marvel Rivals update introduces a brand new PvE mode with Blood Hunt with its own boss and loot system coming on April 23, The Season 7.5 update also brings a brand-new Team-Up Ability as Black Cat, White Fox, and Captain America form the new Lucky Loan Team-Up. Black Cat is the Team-Up Anchor, providing White Fox and Cap with some of her luck to boost their combat capabilities. 

Marvel Rival’s Season 7.5, The Hunt Is On, hits servers on April 17.
