Pasig River Ferry Stations boast free 24/7 60Mbps Internet connectivity
The Pasig River Ferry Service Stations are now connected with 24/7 Internet connectivity. Under the DICT’s Free Wi-Fi For All program, all twelve stations now have free Internet up to 60Mbps (roughly 7MB/s) for 100 concurrent users. Although the service will be available 24/7, each user will be given a generous 12 hour session.
The connectivity will also extend to the three Pasig River ferries to ensure seamless connection from station to station.
According to the DICT Facebook page:
(One of the most common complaints of commuters is inconsistent Internet connectivity during commute, which may bring anxiety in contacting family, work, school, and access to online government services.)
(To answer the call of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. to ensure seamless Internet connectivity, the DICT, MMDA, and LGU of Pasig City have placed 24/7 free Internet at the 12 Pasig River Ferry Service stations, and 3 ferry boats under the Free Public Internet Access Program.)
(Now, your journey is more connected because you can scroll, study, take video calls, and connect online because your data doesn’t run out.)
