Filipino VALORANT pros bow out after PRX, GE exit EWC 2026
MANILA, Philippines – No Filipino VALORANT pro will enter the Esports World Cup (EWC) 2026 Playoffs in Paris, France after Paper Rex (PRX) and Global Esports (GE) were eliminated in the group stage.
PRX falls vs. EMEA
Adrian Jiggs “Invy” Reyes and PRX were unable to recover after being outplayed by EMEA representatives, Karmine Corp (KC) in their final match on July 4.
Despite PRX’s 13-11 win in the first map at Sunset, KC stayed one step ahead of the APAC representatives.
KC answered with 13-9 and 13-7 victories on Fracture and Lotus to complete the reverse sweep.

GE swept by China’s AG.AL
GE went against AG.AL on July 5 for their final match of the Group Stage.
Though each map was closely contested, China’s AG.AL swept the APAC representative, ending the tournament run of Filipinos John Patrick “Patmen” Mendoza and Xavier “xavi8k” Juan.
AG.AL held 14-12 in Sunset and 13-12 in Split.
Playoffs picture so far
So far, 100 Thieves and Team Vitality are the first to secure their playoffs spots.
Decider matches for each group will still be played from July 6 to July 7.
Up next for PRX and GE
PRX and GE will now focus on the upcoming VCT Pacific Stage 2 on July 16.
PRX will also be preparing for VALORANT Champions 2026 in Shanghai after being the first team to secure their spot.
