Where Winds Meet 2.0 enters an Eastern steampunk era
MANILA, Philippines – Where Winds Meet will introduce the Hidden Mountain Expansion on July 23 marking the beginning of Where Winds Meet 2.0.
Shifting from its Ancient China-inspired setting, players will soon experience an Eastern steampunk environment with a multi-dimensional vertical map, new weapon classes, bosses, and a new storyline.

The Hidden Mountain region
The upcoming map features floating cities and underground areas to explore, along with various mechanical devices and contraptions.
Different movement mechanics aligned with the setting will be introduced, such as climbing, gliding, and using mechanical vehicles.
Publisher NetEase Games also announced visual and audio enhancements with the update.
Moreover, Hidden Mountain will feature improved wind dynamics, a new lighting system, and ray tracing to better simulate the environment.

Crafting and customization
The update will also introduce mechanical crafting and vehicle customization.
Additionally, The Mohist Hill Sect will be an area for crafting and construction, where players can discover buffs to their abilities.
Where Winds Meet was developed by Everstone Studio and launched in November 2025. The game currently has over 8,000 concurrent players, with peak concurrent player counts exceeding 18,000, according to Steam Charts.
