Acer has announced a broad range of new hardware at IFA 2026 at the Messe Berlin, including a monitor with 1,000Hz refresh rate, a new laptop weighing only 799 grams, and the Acer Googlebook.
Monitors for every ocassion
The most interesting of the new displays is the Predator XB253Q U1, a 24.5-inch Full HD IPS gaming monitor that can run at a 1,000Hz refresh rate. It has a 1,920 x 1,080 resolution, 450-nit peak brightness, 90% DCI-P3 coverage, 0.3ms response time with Acer’s Visual Response Boost Pro technology, VESA DisplayHDR 400 certification, and support for AMD FreeSync Premium and NVIDIA G-SYNC Compatible. Connectivity includes two HDMI 2.1 ports and one DisplayPort 2.1 port.
The Predator X32 V3 takes a different approach with a 31.5-inch QD-OLED Penta Tandem panel. It has a 3,840 x 2,160 resolution, 180Hz refresh rate, 450-nit peak brightness, 99% DCI-P3 coverage and a 0.03ms GtG response time. It also carries VESA DisplayHDR True Black 400 certification and supports both AMD FreeSync Premium and NVIDIA G-SYNC Compatible.
Meanwhile, the 27-inch Predator XB273K V7 uses an IPS panel with a native UHD resolution and 160Hz refresh rate. Its Dynamic Frequency and Resolution technology allows it to switch to Full HD at up to 500Hz. It also supports AMD FreeSync Premium and NVIDIA G-SYNC Compatible, while an Acer Smart Dial lets users adjust settings such as brightness and contrast remotely.
Acer’s Nitro lineup adds four displays. The 27-inch XV275X P has a 5K IPS panel running at 165Hz, with DFR allowing it to switch to QHD at 330Hz. It has a 0.5ms GtG response time, 99% DCI-P3 coverage and Delta E<2 colour accuracy. The 34-inch curved XZ340CKR P has a 5,120 x 2,160 resolution at 180Hz and can switch to WFHD at 360Hz, with up to 0.5ms GtG response time, HDR10 certification and 90% DCI-P3 coverage.
The XV275U Z2 and XV270U Z3 are both 27-inch IPS monitors with tri-mode DFR and response times of up to 0.5ms GtG. Both can run at QHD 275Hz, Full HD 360Hz or HD 520Hz. The XV275U Z2 is the more gaming-focused model, adding 1,152-zone Mini LED backlighting, Acer HDR1000, 97% DCI-P3 and 95% Adobe RGB coverage. The XV270U Z3 is positioned for both gaming and content creation and instead offers HDR10 and 90% DCI-P3 coverage.
The monitors are scheduled to launch in select North American, EMEA and Chinese markets between Q4 2026 and Q1 2027. Acer currently has not announced availability and pricing for the Philippine market.
Laptops for every occasion
On the laptop side, the Acer Vero 16 continues the company’s focus on sustainability and repairability which is greatly popular with the EMEA market. The 16-inch OLED laptop uses recycled materials and low-carbon aluminium, while a tool-free access latch allows users to open the bottom without a screwdriver. Acer has also engraved a visual guide onto the laptop to help with replacing components such as the battery and SSD.
The Vero 16 has a WQXGA+ OLED display, Intel Core Ultra X9 388H processor, up to 32GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 512GB of SSD storage. It also includes a 5MP IR webcam, SD card reader, HDMI 2.1 with HDCP, two Thunderbolt 4 ports, USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 and Gen 2 ports, and Wi-Fi 7. It is expected to launch in EMEA in Q1 2027, with local pricing and availability yet to be announced.
The Aspire G 3D 16 is Acer’s more unusual laptop announcement. Its 16-inch WQXGA+ 3D display uses dual eye-tracking cameras to convert 2D content into 3D without requiring a discrete GPU. Instead, it relies on the integrated Radeon 8060S graphics in AMD’s Ryzen AI Max+ 395 processor. The laptop also has a 99.9Wh battery, RGB-backlit keyboard, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4 and two USB-C 4.0 ports. Acer has not yet announced availability for the Aspire G 3D 16.
Acer also announced the Aspire S 24 and Aspire S 27 all-in-one PCs. Both have Full HD+ displays with 144Hz refresh rates, with optional touch and stylus support, while the 27-inch model can also be configured with a QHD 120Hz display.
The two models share processor options consisting of an Intel Core 3 304, Core 5 320 or Core 7 350, along with up to 16GB of single-channel LPDDR5 RAM and up to 1TB of M.2 SSD storage. Connectivity includes Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, USB-C 3.2 Gen 1, two USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 ports, two USB-A 2.0 ports, HDMI 1.4b, a 3.5mm audio jack and RJ45 LAN. Both use a 65W AC adapter.
Next up, weighing at only 799 grams and as thin as 12.9 mm, the Acer Swift Blade 14 is an engineering marvel focused around mobile productivity. The Swift Blade 14 is powered by an Intel Core 7 processor 350, paired with 12 GB of LPDDR5 memory and up to 1TB storage.
The Swift Blade 14 comes with a 3K OLED display with up to 100% DCI-P3 color gamut and a 90% screen to body ratio as well as 4.3mm ultra slim bazels. This is a laptop meant to be brought around everywhere.
Absolute cinema gaming on the go
Acer is also expanding its gaming handheld lineup with the Predator Atlas 7, a 7-inch model that brings the performance of its larger 8-inch counterpart into a more compact form factor. It is powered by up to an Intel Arc G3 Extreme processor and Intel Arc B390 graphics, with up to 24GB of LPDDR5x memory, 1TB of PCIe Gen4 NVMe storage and an 80Wh battery. The handheld features a 7-inch FHD 120Hz touchscreen with VRR and 500 nits brightness, dual-fan cooling with a Predator AeroBlade metal fan, TMR joystick options and Hall-effect triggers, as well as dual Thunderbolt 4 ports, Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4. Acer is also showing Project DualPlay Mini, an 8-inch concept device that combines a gaming handheld with a mobile productivity machine through a flip-and-swivel design, built-in backlit keyboard and support for an external display. The Predator Atlas 7 will launch in North America in Q4 2026 and in EMEA from November, while Project DualPlay Mini remains a concept.
Acer also briefly teased the upcoming Googlebook and the details were scarce but we’ll definitely find out more details very soon.
