Nokia 2360 Flip launches in PH, features SOS button
MANILA, Philippines — Nokia is reviving the “old school” flip phone design with the launch of the Nokia 2360 Flip.
Priced at P2,790, the device features a 1.77-inch external screen and a 2.8-inch QVGA main display, along with built-in safety features aimed at helping users, particularly senior citizens.

Safety features for senior users
The Nokia 2360 flip comes with a dedicated emergency button that allows users to reach their pre-selected emergency contacts.
By pressing the SOS button for three seconds, the phone automatically calls a designated contact and sends text messages to five other contacts.
It also features the Family Assist app, which allows family members to set reminders, add contacts, adjust the volume, and manage emergency contacts through SMS remotely.

Classic functions in a smartphone era
Reflecting its traditional flip-phone design design, the Nokia 2360 Flip retains a physical keypad, loudspeaker, FM radio, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Unlike modern smartphones, the device offers more basic specifications, including a QVGA rear camera with LED flash, 4MB of RAM, and 4MB of internal storage, which can be expanded through a microSD card up to 32GB.
It is powered by a removable 1,450mAh battery, with HMD listing up to 27.5 hours of talk time and 15 days of standby time.
However, the phone’s limited connectivity may be a drawback for some users, as it only supports 2G networks.
This makes network availability an important consideration for prospective buyers, particularly when comparing the device with modern smartphones. (By David Buenaventura, INQUIRER.net Intern)
