/ 01:29 AM May 19, 2013

MANILA, Philippines—A free app, with free extra content—and, for the first two months, a chance to win an Inquirer tablet package for free.

The thousands who have already downloaded the new Inquirer Mobile app with the built-in INQSnap function get their first chance to win one of eight Inquirer tablets on Monday, at the first of eight weekly draws.

The download is key; the reader needs to download the Inquirer Mobile app, from the App Store (for iPhones and iPads) or from Google Play (for Android-powered devices). The reader must then register online.

INQSnap this page (or any page with the Inquirer house advertisement on the raffle) to read the contest mechanics and to fill out the registration form.

FEATURED STORIES

INQSnap, an augmented-reality app, allows the Inquirer reader to access extra content right off the printed page—even video reports or audio clips.

In the last week, INQSnap users could read a handwritten note from Alaska Aces coach Luigi Trillo on the official PBA scoresheet, watch Grace Poe talk about her father as inspiration and Leni Robredo make a campaign pitch, flip through dozens of additional photos from Inquirer staff and from the Associated Press on the Taiwan crisis, the proclamation of the first six senators-elect and protests outside the Philippine International Convention Center—and listen to singer-songwriter Jason Mraz talk about the writing of songs.

And in Sunday’s issue, the reader can view more outtakes from the sold-out Mraz concert.

The Inquirer Tablet package includes a year’s subscription to the Inquirer Digital Newsstand.
