Social networking comes easy with Sony Ericsson’s first Android phones
MANILA, Philippines—Get connected with friends through Facebook and Twitter and enjoy as well your favorite “Glee” version of “Listen” in a Sony Ericsson Android phone.
Sony Ericsson launched recently its first Android-powered phones with a social networking feature and that offers a musical experience via “Listen.”

Phone users can stay connected to their favorite social networking sites like Twitter and Facebook, said Sony Ericsson marketing manager Patrick Larraga during their “Glee”-inspired launch for the new products.
Purchase of specially marked Walkman phones will also entitle buyers to exclusive Glee T-shirts.
Article continues after this advertisementSound artist Jing Garcia demonstrated how to create your own music in the W8 phone simply by sliding your fingers through the touch screen.
“You can also create any kind of music that you like,” he said.
The W8 has a 3.2 megapixel camera capable of directly uploading pictures on Facebook. It also has video recording.
“This is for easy downloading of applications from the Android market,” said Larraga.
The phone comes with a 4 gigabyte miscroSD card, which is exclusive to the Philippine market, he said.
The W8 is available for P7,990; the Zylo for P4,990; the Yendo for P3,990; and the Spiro for P2,990, said Larraga.
Larraga said that Sony Ericsson will also be having an online music contest where fans can submit videos of their own cover of “Glee” songs on Facebook.
Winners will get Sony Ericsson W8 Walkman phones and vacation packages for two to Boracay Garden resort.—Danica Hermogenes
