Smart launches innovation for comprehensive mobile load management

/ 04:03 PM October 02, 2013

Filipinos’ prepaid load consumption has evolved as services became more accessible and available. From simply texting and calling, Filipinos now enjoy subscribing to different buckets and promos tailored to their lifestyles and daily needs. Detailed and real-time balance information is now a prerequisite to fully maximize credits.

Wireless leader, Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart) empowers its prepaid subscribers with its revamped prepaid load inquiry system—Smart Prepaid Load Manager—an innovation which has an advanced transparent prepaid load tracking system, allowing subscribers to receive real-time credit information and maximize their mobile load consumption and promo bucket subscriptions without having to worry about running out of load.

Charles Lim, EVP and Division Head of the Wireless Consumer Division of Smart said, “Smart Prepaid Load Manager aims to enhance the experience of our prepaid subscribers when it comes to managing their load, like having your own assistant keep track of all your mobile phone expenses.”

He added, “We recognize that Filipinos have a digitally mobile lifestyle and managing load balance is already an important part of the daily budget. With our advanced and intelligent balance check features, we’re making it easier for our subscribers to do just that.”

Smart Prepaid Load Manager has three basic services, all available to Smart Prepaid subscribers for free.

First is the Flash Remaining Balance Notification which automatically displays on-screen the amount of used-up credit and the remaining balance after every phone call using regular load. This feature is activated once regular load balance reaches less than P100.

For those who regularly subscribe to call and text buckets or promos, there is the Low Balance Notification. It alerts the subscriber via text message if they only have less than 3 call minutes left in their subscription or if the call minutes or text message allocations have been fully consumed.

Third is the real-time and detailed balance inquiry. For every balance check by simply dialing *214#, the subscriber will receive not just the amount of regular load left, but also the buckets or promos the user is subscribed to, the breakdown of how many text messages or call minutes the subscriber has left and the expiry dates of all availed call, text and/or data packages.

“The new system will also allow subscribers to use up their text allocations from buckets even with zero regular load. This way, our subscribers can fully consume what they pay for, when they subscribe to promos,” Lim said.

These three key features will not just give Smart Prepaid subscribers alerts and warnings when their load balance is already low, but they will also help them to manage their load consumption better, allowing them to save up for that important call or text during crucial situations, from calling your boss to finding a friend at a concert.

Jane Basas, Prepaid Business Group Head added that the Smart Prepaid Load Manager feature is also helpful in urgent and critical situations because it alerts subscribers when there is a need to reload. “Subscribers can now avoid situations wherein they can’t make an important call or text because of load deficit,” shesaid. The feature also allows users to check updates and be proactively alerted on their current promo subscriptions.
