Ayala-led electronics firm produces, ships out 100,000 auto cameras for Bosch

MANILA, Philippines — Ayala-led electronics manufacturer Integrated Micro-Electronics Inc. (IMI) announced on Thursday that it has produced and shipped out 100,000 multi-purpose automotive cameras for German engineering and electronics firm Robert Bosch GmbH.

“In January of this year, we renewed our preferred supplier status for Bosch. In October we achieved the milestone of 100,000 multi-purpose automotive cameras produced for them. We closely collaborate in steering both our companies through rough times. This is a hallmark of a sincere partnership,” IMI president Arthur Tan said in a press statement.

Andreas Reppich, Engineering Director in Bosch Chassis Systems and Control, said: “I am extremely pleased that IMI was able to reach this milestone within only one year given the complexity of the product and its manufacturing process. The strong partnership between Bosch and IMI continues to yield quality products.”

IMI has been a supplier to Bosch for more than a decade in diversified markets, which include automotive, industrial, and consumer electronic products.

Bosch is a leading global supplier of technology and devices in the areas of automotive, industrial, and consumer electronics. IMI is a preferred supplier to Bosch in the electronics manufacturing services (EMS) category.
