Hackers defaced the channel of the Asian Nuclear Safety Network on the Philippine Nuclear Research Institute website on Tueday, as they urged President Benigno Aquino III to upgrade the military’s capability to defend the country.

The hackers identified themselves as PH Cyber Intruder Team: “We are fighters, freethinkers, we are PH.CIT.”

The hackers said they were expecting more from the President during his term. “We watched you for several years and still we saw no improvements, yes maybe you improved our economy but how about the military equipment, corruption, cyber security, and justices,” they said in a message on the homepage of the defaced channel.

They also called on lawmakers to speed up the passage of the anti-political dynasty bill in Congress, saying it could help “reduce corruption in our country.”
