Get your TIN online again

Starting Monday, taxpayers may again apply online for taxpayer identification numbers, or TINs.

“Please be advised eREG (electronic registration) will be accessible beginning Aug. 10 at 8 a.m.,” the Bureau of Internal Revenue said on its website.

In an Aug. 7 memorandum, BIR Deputy Commissioner for information systems group Lilia C. Guillermo said the technical issues that caused the eREG system to go offline for several months had been resolved.

“All eREG users may resume online TIN applications. Revenue district offices will no longer manually issue TlNs,” Guillermo said.

The eREG system is a Web application for taxpayer registration services such as TIN issuance, payment of registration fees as well as issuance of certificates of registration.–Ben O. de Vera
