Ramon Bautista unfazed by netizens’ attacks: ‘Mar Roxas has my vote’
After drawing mixed reactions from appearing on the video supporting Liberal Party’s (LP) presidential and vice presidential bets former Interior Secretary Manuel “Mar” Roxas II and Camarines Sur Representative Leni Robredo, comedian and TV host Ramon Bautista took to Twitter to defend himself.

Article continues after this advertisementOn a post on his Twitter account on Tuesday, Bautista said that many people are judging him without basis.
He also reiterated that as an “independent” Filipino, he is backing Roxas for the presidency in the 2016 elections.
“Daming nambabatikos at nanghuhusga na walang batayan. Basta ito ang stand ko bilang malayang Pilipino—kay Mar Roxas ang boto ko,” Bautista said.

The comedian’s appearance on the music video “Fast Forward” dismayed some netizens because in an episode of their show “Kontrabado,” Bautista and his co-hosts mocked Roxas for doing an awkward fist bump with an elementary student.

Fast forward to the LP video, Bautista was seen doing a fist bump with Roxas.
Some people accused Bautista for reportedly being a sellout.
However, the director of the music video said that no talent fee was paid to the celebrities who appeared on the video.
“All the artists who came on board for the MTV volunteered when we spoke to them. No one was paid for this except the production team,” director Cristhian Escolano said on a Facebook post.
Aside from Bautista, other celebrities who appeared on the video were Kathryn Bernardo, Daniel Padilla, Maricel Soriano, Jay-R, Billy Crawford, Karylle, Carla Abellana, Kris Lawrence, Angelu de Leon, Melai Cantiveros, Jason Francisco, Chokoleit, Rufa Mae Quinto and Martin del Rosario. AJH/RAM
