Some fans and supporters of Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach took to Twitter on Wednesday their confusion as to why the Filipina beauty queen deactivated her Twitter account.

When Twitter users try to search for the @PiaWurtzbach Twitter account on Wednesday, they were prompted with the message “@PiaWurtzbach does not exist.”

Her personal Instagram account, however, is still up online.

No official statement as to why Wurtzbach’s account was deactivated has been issued from her camp or the Miss Universe Organization but social media was rife with speculations.

Some netizens joked that Wurtzbach deactivated her account because her tweets about Korean pop group “Super Junior” have resurfaced and went viral moments after she was crowned.

User Jane Cuyos Carry said: “No more Pia wurtzbach twitter account. Haaayst. Is it because of siwon? HAHAHAHA kidding”

Meanwhile, some people opined that Twitter “is making improvements” to her account.

“Awww Pia Wurtzbach ‘s twitter account has been deactivated. What happened? Or twitter makes improvements to her account like verifying it,” Twitter user Jowell Samonte said.

Other Twitter users said that the account was deactivated to prevent further bashing by Miss Universe fans who were dissatisfied with the result of the pageant.

However, since she deactivated her Twitter account, Wurtzbach has already taken over the official Twitter and Instagram accounts of Miss Universe.
