WATCH: Marriage proposal in middle of street during Koronadal fest

It was one of the more traditional ways of marriage proposal, but it was not less romantic.

A video of a seaman proposing to his nurse girlfriend in Koronadal City is making the rounds on social media.

In the video first uploaded by the Radyo Bida – Koronadal City page on Facebook, children were seen handing red roses to Rea Rizza Penolvo in the middle of the Hinugyaw Festival, before she was ushered in to the middle of the street.

A voiceover of her boyfriend Jason Darroca can be heard in the background.

Darroca then entered the scene and knelt before Penolvo before asking for her hand as the text “Will you marry me?” appeared on LED screen.

Penolvo, who is working as nurse in Saudi Arabia, just went home for a vacation in Koronadal City.

As of writing, the original Facebook video has garnered more than 27,000 views, 535 shares, 860 reactions, and 117 comments. YG/RC
