Just when we thought we’ve seen it all—hover boards on wheels, on water, even one that legitimately flies—comes another mind-boggling invention, the Hoverbike.

The ‘mad scientist’ behind the gravity-altering device, YouTube-tech star, Colin Furze, reportedly created the hoverbike inside his personal tool shed, with funding from the Michigan-based automaker company, Ford.
According to the 3-minute-50-second video, the homemade chopper-like ride is powered by two motors which spins a propeller blade in opposite directions.
The parallel mechanism reportedly prevents the bike from spinning around in circles.
Despite its slick design, Furze admits that his invention is still unstable and could use a bit more tweaking.
“Control in this thing, at all, is a small miracle,” said the Youtube star and backyard inventor. “But this is why I chose to do the hoverbike. The whole unlearned philosophy is to try new things and go in new directions, I definitely think I’m doing that with this.”
He also explained that he tried to add stability controls onto the bike, but couldn’t afford to add any extra weight without being grounded.
