WATCH: Cambodian company molds ‘custom-made’ clouds
Now, a cloud can be made and formed into different shapes such as that of a heart.
With the “magic touch” of Khmer Cloud Making Service, a startup company in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, heart-shaped clouds and other fancy shapes can be made to drift into the sky.
In several Facebook videos posted by the company’s Facebook account, a vendor liberates fluffy clouds in the air while bystanders stop to watch them. One of the videos accumulated 11.6 million views, 160,000 shares, and 50,000 likes and reactions as of this writing.
According to the company’s website, the environmental-friendly clouds are made from proprietary surfactant soap and light gases such as helium. “The cloud making machine compresses the air and mixes it with the foaming liquid to form what looks like a thick mass of bubbles. When this mass is cut from the machine it floats smoothly to the sky,” it explained. Tightly stuffed bubbles elevate through a stencil before the vendor slices it off for take-off.
The life expectancy of the clouds depends on the formula of the foaming liquid and the weather.
A report by Huffington Post said the Khmer startup also cuts other shapes such as snowflakes, stars, peace signs and dolphins, and 5 percent of its earnings are donated to impoverished Khmer children.
“Even if we are based in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, we believe that we can reach any sky in the world,” the company stated.
