Final Fantasy VII ‘Monopoly’ game board coming soon
No, it’s not a joke: Final Fantasy VII characters are conquering the Monopoly deal!
Online retail shop Merchoid has announced it would release the fun-filled board game in April next year.
“Delve into the evolving city of Midgar in search of the latest business opportunities. Perhaps you’ll buy up a string of plots for housing development for the people, or go industrial and build a Mako reactor plant,” the website’s caption stated.
Merchoid plans to model the exciting game set after the regular Monopoly: It will include 8 tokens, 28 title deed cards, 16 chance cards, among others.
What should avid Final Fantasy fans expect from this? Players could peddle across the mythical places of Rocket Town, Nibelheim and Wutai, and perhaps swap properties or buy one.
“A roll of a dice and a shrewd business mind will pave your way to success…Just watch out in case Shin-ra brings your empire crashing down.”
