SanDisk has released a new microSD card that could solve many of the storage problems that videographers encounter today with the new Extreme 256GB microSD.

This new microSD card has a write speed of 90MBps allowing for very fast data reading and transferring. It’s best used for 4K camera setups where it can potentially record up to 14 hours of footage.

For mainstream users, the “Ultra” version will also be made available. This can hold up to 24 hours of standard HD content.

These microSD cards will go on sale starting August with the Ultra priced at $150. The Extreme will follow through sometime in the fourth quarter. Alfred Bayle
