tweetFLOOD waters be damned! Marikina citizens rejoice, for your “politicians” have took to Twitter to see who’s the better leader.

Well kind of, sort of.

A couple of parody accounts parading as incumbent Marikina City Mayor Marcelino “Marcy” Teodoro and former chief Del De Guzman exchanged some beef and it’s not of the bovine kind.

It all started when De Guzman’s impersonator, going as, well, Del De Guzman, tweeted “Kung ako sana binoto niyo, kanina pa walang pasok.”

This came during the recent days’ incessant raining, and considering the shoe capital’s penchant for flooding, students and employees alike would just like to skip classes and work to look after their houses.

Or for those who enjoy some high ground, sip some coffee maybe.

Mayor Marcy Teodoro, the parody account obviously, fired back at Mayor Del with “Ano problema mo sa akin, Del?”

Things then turned calm when two more parody accounts surfaced.

Originally, the two accounts had @Mayor_Marcy and @Del_De_Guzman handles but the following tweets were now under @MarcyTeodoro and @Del_deGuzman.

Twitter handles may have changed but the banter continued.

@MarcyTeodoro looked as if to send a peaceful message of “Goodnight Del” with a two-heart emoji. @Del_deGuzman seemed to enjoy it as he replied with a “crush mo na naman ako.”

The two then exchanged a couple more tweets best reserved to the “corny” section of Twitter, if there is one.

Things again turned sour, though, when @MarcyTeodoro sent out a puntastic “#MarcyRule” tweet to which @Del_deGuzman replied with a “rule mo mukha mo.”

The original @Mayor_Marcy account is already gone but @MarcyTeodoro is still alive and kicking with his 40 followers.

@Del_De_Guzman has a whopping, compared to the other accounts; he has 260 followers while the other De Guzman account, @Del_deGuzman, only has five, which is pretty sad.
