WATCH: Super Mario Brothers 3 beaten in 2 seconds

/ 08:14 PM July 12, 2016

There have been many speed runs for Mario Brothers games but beating one of the game’s franchises in just 2 seconds is going to be one tough act to follow.

It’s quite unbelievable that any one can do such a thing because indeed this feat requires some robotic assistance to achieve. Together with his trusty Nintendo TASbot (a modified R.O.B. robot), Tool Assisted Speed Runner ais523 exploited a glitch in the game that allowed him to immediately arrive at the game’s final room, reports Geek.

He explained that using a specific pattern, and having TASbot mash buttons at 6,000 times per second, he could jump directly into the final area from the game opening. Basically his actions confused the game which allows him to enter a certain game code.

It might seem like cheating but tool-assisted speed running is actually legitimate since ais523 needed the help of tool, such as a robot in some cases, to achieve the end result.  Alfred Bayle
