It is yet uncertain which of Lenovo’s upcoming Android devices will sport Microsoft apps but it’s sure that consumers will see them in Motorola devices as well.  Image Lenovo

Microsoft has announced that future models of Lenovo Android phones will be preloaded with the company’s software, after the two companies signed a cross-licensing agreement.

Some of the apps that will be included in Lenovo smartphones include Microsoft Office, Skype and OneDrive, The Verge reports.

While the details of the deal have yet to be published, it pretty much has Microsoft giving up on royalty earnings for having its software installed on devices as part of a bundle. This move is also in line with Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella’s focus on customer engagement and usage.

Lenovo has not revealed which of its devices will carry Microsoft apps but consumers will be sure to see them soon as the company is expected to ship more and more of its Android devices over the next few years.  Alfred Bayle
