Back in 2011, the PlayStation Network (PSN) was breached and it cost Sony a tremendous amount of money to fix everything. It has taken a while but the PlayStation Network is now protected by a two-factor verification process.

The word came out via tweet from the official PlayStation Twitter account. The tweet also links to the two-step verification setup page.

It’s rather surprising that it took Sony this long to adopt the strategy considering the amount of damage the 2011 attack did. At least now PSN users can breathe a little easier with the added layer of protection for their accounts.  Alfred Bayle
