Enjoy a new Karaoke experience on the Internet
MANILA, Philippines – Even karaoke has its own place in the web.
Risingstars.ph, a new interactive platform for music content engagement and social networking to give Filipinos “the satisfaction to sing the most popular international and OPM karaoke songs conveniently online,” has been launched by Megamobile Inc., a member of the Inquirer Group of Companies (IGC) and local provider of digital applications and platforms solutions focused on delivering services to virtual communities, in partnership with RisingStars Asia, a Singapore-based firm.

He added that their goal was to offer a dynamic platform for talent discovery and provide singers a medium for exposure to showcase their singing skills.
“We felt that the Philippines has a unique opportunity to marry the Filipino passion for singing and leverage on our global reputation as one of the leading consumers of social media,” he said.

“We developed an online platform that finally brings karaoke to the Internet age the way people want it without any software download, just using standard equipment that most computers already have these days, like a built-in microphone or headset and optionally a webcam if the user wish to add their own video to the song,” he said.
Gonzci added that they have eliminated the need to use expensive and complicated video or sound equipment.
“At Risingstars.ph, users have a semi-professional studio at their fingertip with the ease to practice, play back, record, edit, sound effect, and pitch correct their performance, all online without any software download or install,” he said.
Because it’s available on the web, Risingstars.ph is easily accessible to a broad range of participants.
“From Luzon to Mindanao, anyone can record song and video on their home computer and internet connection, submit and share with friends all across the country instantaneously with a few clicks,” he also said.
Fernando emphasized that the service was totally free of charge.
“We really mean free, no payment, no prepaid credits and no credit card needed,” he said.
