Knowledge exchange meet set Nov. 17-18

How can partnerships help build homegrown ICT-related enterprises to generate jobs? What digital opportunities can local government units provide its constituents, especially women, for them to become economically independent?

These are some of the key issues confronting knowledge managers and LGUs in their bid to effect social and economic transformation for development.

To provide a venue to discuss these concerns, the Philippine CeCNetwork (PhilCeCNet) with the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) will hold the 11th Knowledge Exchange Conference (KEC11) on Nov. 17-18 at the Aberdeen Court, Quezon City.

Using the theme “Partners for Change,” KEC11 will present the best practices as well as doable strategies and techniques in using new ICTs to create economic and social change options. Among the conference topics are: “Farmers by Day, Call Center Agent by Night”; “Big Data Analytics, Home-based Online Jobs”; “Digital Outsourcing for Women”; “Cyber Security Rural Impact Outsourcing” and “Social Media Entrepreneurship.”
