Vivo Philippines launched their latest smartphone, the Vivo V5 Plus, last weekend at the SM Mall of Asia Atrium, with the event highlighted by the introduction of the phone’s newest brand ambassador, NBA star Stephen Curry.
Still, the true star of the event had to be the Vivo V5 Plus as the world’s first smartphone to utilize dual front-facing cameras. The primary camera is a 20-megapixel IMX376, co-engineered with Sony. This is supported by an 8-megapixel camera designed for collecting depth of field information, to give selfies a bokeh effect.
The rear camera, on the other hand, is an F 1/2.8 16-megapixel shooter.
Inside the chassis is a Snapdragon 625 processor, 4GB RAM, 64GB of internal storage, and Android 6.0 Marshmallow for its operating system.
The rest of its features include a 5.5-inch display with 5th generation Corning Gorilla Glass, an ultra-slim bezel, and a 1.8mm dome-style, wide u-shaped antenna for better signal reception.
The Vivo V5 Plus will be available at an SRP of P19,990. Alfred Bayle
