Nintendo Switch 2017 games from biggies, indies listed

The Nintendo Switch is finally on store shelves and gamers are happily playing with the launch titles that came out with the console. However, there is more in store as a list of titles from both big name and indie studios have been announced.

Kotaku reports on the titles that Switch owners can look forward to this year. Meanwhile, a video from the Nintendo YouTube channel showcases upcoming indie titles or what they refer to as ‘Nindies.’

Geek reports that the Nintendo Switch may overtake the PlayStation Vita as the platform of choice for indie game developers.

The PlayStation Vita has had a difficult run to say the least, especially with the rise of mobile gaming. Support from Sony has been lacking but the handheld console managed to get by with indie game titles. How things will change for the PSV with the Switch as a competition remains to be seen. Alfred Bayle/JB
