Instagram live videos can now be saved to phones

Instagram’s live streaming feature, which was launched last November, now allows users to save their videos to their phones.

The photo-sharing social media platform announced the development in a blog post published on March 20.

From the moment a user terminates a live video session, a “save” option will be displayed on the top right of the screen.

Any interactions such as likes or comments, however, do not get saved to the device.

The feature is available now for both Android and iOS in the 10.12 version of Instagram.

The company also teased that this update is “just the first of many improvements we’ll be making to live videos this year.” JB
