Facebook adds live location-sharing to Messenger
Users of Facebook Messenger will now be able to share their precise geographic location with friends using the app, as an update rolls out to its iOS and Android builds.
Early testers told Facebook that Live Location “is helpful when trying to coordinate with friends, telling people how close you are when you’re on your way to an appointment, or even sharing where you are with your roommate when you’re on your way home at night,” wrote Messenger product manager Selena Wang in a news post on March 27.

Static locations can be shared using a pin-drop function instead. JB
