The Switch is undoubtedly one of Nintendo’s fastest selling creations to date and many appear to be satisfied with their purchase. Sadly, a few issues have been popping. A new one has just been encountered by users: the console bending from use.
Reddit user _NSR recently posted a photo of his Switch showing signs of warping. The console had often been used in dock mode as opposed to its hand-held configuration. Other users have started to report on _NSR’s Reddit thread, as well as on NeoGAF forums.
One Reddit user commented that extra heat produced while the Switch is in dock mode could be the culprit behind the console’s warping issue.
_NSR later uploaded a video on YouTube to give an update on the status of his Switch. He mentioned reaching out to Nintendo regarding the issue. Nintendo was apparently accommodating and sent him an overnight shipping label. _NSR notes, “They were extremely helpful. More helpful than any customer service I’ve really spoken to.”
Other users who posted on _NSR’s thread and reached out to him mirrored their satisfaction at Nintendo’s way of accommodating customer service.
Nintendo said that it’s likely an isolated incident. _NSR comments that he posted on Reddit precisely to find out whether the issue was an isolated one.
_NSR said that the bending issue is not as bad as it sounds since he is still able to play. But he will be posting another video in a few days once he gets his console back from Nintendo. JB
