When the remake for “Final Fantasy VII” was first announced in 2015, fans were ecstatic. However more recent information asks a little more patience from fans, as the game is not scheduled to come out any time soon.
The information comes from Square Enix’s financial briefings for the fiscal year which ended on March 31, 2017. CEO Yosuke Matsuda stated that “Final Fantasy VII Remake’ and “Kingdom Hearts III” will be launched within the next three years or so, reports Gematsu.
This puts both games on the year 2020 roadmap.
“Final Fantasy VII” is a role-playing game developed by Square for the PlayStation console and was released in 1997.
That is certainly a long wait for a game remake, but looking at the brighter side of things, gamers are still waiting for any bit of news about “Half-Life 3”. Alfred Bayle/JB
