WATCH: FPS game ‘Doom’ played on a thermostat
When it comes to the number of times a game has been ported to a different platform, none can beat the 1993 first-person shooter (FPS) game “Doom”.
Thanks to the ingenuity of coders and hackers, the classic game has been running on various electronics—from an ancient 8-bit ZX Spectrum personal computer, to the Apple MacBook Pro’s touch pad.
The latest conquest for the classic game is this Honeywell Prestige Thermostat. YouTube user “cz7 asm” uploaded a modified version of “Doom” called “Chocolate Doom”, unto the household appliance. He then connected a Nintendo NES controller in order to play the game.
