Elon Musk is like all of us, except with a few billion dollars to spare and an electric car company. But just like all law-abiding citizens, he still needs to go to the United States’ DMV (Department of Motor Vehicles) for errands.

While there, something caught his attention:

‪Was just at the DMV & dude had the actual sloth from Zootopia on his desk‬

A post shared by Elon Musk (@elonmusk) on

He spotted a stuffed version of one of the infamous DMV “Zootopia” sloths, Flash, on an employee’s desk.

One commenter called the sloth the “DMV spirit animal.”

For those who haven’t seen the Oscar-winning Disney animated film, Musk shared the hilarious scene for reference:

The scene shows characters police officer Judy Hopps and con artist Nick Wilde taking a trip to the DMV as part of an investigation. When they arrive, they see the entire place is run by sloths who work at a little less than lightning speed.

And while many of us have experienced sloth-like government service, the Tesla CEO gave props to the DMV:

Netizens enjoyed the irony of it, but found it more surprising that someone of his status would still need to do errands like license plates renewal himself:

So see, Elon Musk is truly just like all of us. He goes through the bureaucracy, enjoys Disney movies, and has a day job—sending rocket ships to space. He also founded the company SpaceX, with the goal of building a human colony in Mars to save the human race. Just an ordinary guy. JB
