WATCH: Parkour expert captures video of dizzying mountain descent

The sport of free running, more commonly known as parkour, has certainly become more popular in recent years.

The discipline involves clearing obstacles through running, climbing, vaulting, jumping and other physically demanding movements.

Indeed, it’s hard enough to execute properly on a straight surface; now imagine doing so while descending from a mountain.

Nineteen year-old parkour practitioner, or traceur, Calen Chan has accomplished such feat after sharing his dizzying descent from the world’s largest parkour course at Sky Ladder Course in Tianmen Mountain, in China.

Armed with a GoPro Camera on his mouth, the youthful free running instructor posted a POV (point of view) video of himself galloping down the ridiculously steep terrain.

“Obviously hit was difficult,” Chan described his run on Youtube. “And I physically couldn’t sprint down the entire path of deadly drops without slowing down, but I did my best!”

As of this writing, Chan’s video is closing in on a million views, with over 800,000. JB
