Nokia rebrands Withings health devices
A Nokia rebranding of Withings products has been on the cards since the firm announced its intentions at the last Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain. From now on, Nokia will be selling all of the Withings connected devices under its own name after buying the French manufacturer in 2016.
Nokia’s newly branded health offering includes smart, connected devices such as watches, scales, a thermometer and blood pressure monitors, all designed for daily monitoring of parameters such as physical activity, weight, blood pressure, sleep, heart rate and more.

The brand’s connected thermometer has 16 infrared sensors which take temperature readings from the temple on the side of the head. These sensors can take up to 4,000 readings in two seconds while an algorithm ensures the most accurate possible temperature reading. In fall 2017, Nokia will add a connected hair brush to the range. Hair Coach, which caused a sensation at the last CES in Las Vegas early this year, can analyze the quality of the user’s mane.
The Nokia Health Mate app offers a complete history of all the user’s health data. It can monitor trends and help users follow wellness programs and reach goals to lose weight, reduce blood pressure, stay active or improve sleep. Health Mate is billed as a veritable coach, collecting all the data necessary each day to help users improve their health.
With this complete range of health devices, users can check and monitor all kinds of health-related data on a daily basis. The products are available worldwide. JB
