Cats continue to mesmerize and amuse people thanks to their silly behavior of trying to fit into just about anything.
Japanese Twitter user @Kodex0510 shared some photos of their family cat Futa as the animal stuck its head in boots and snack boxes.
Apart from additional amusement for internet users, Futa’s comical photos were also submitted to the Japan Meeting of Furries Pet Bragging Contest, reports SoraNews24.
The JMoF annual convention for pet owners is traditionally held every January. @Kodex0510’s contest entry will be for the 2018 convention, which has been scheduled for Jan. 6 to 7 at the Toyohashi, Aichi Prefecture.
Those who wish to participate in the contest are asked to share cute or interesting photos or videos of their pets on social media with the corresponding contest hashtag #JMoFペット自慢大会.
Here are some other entries.
It appears the competition has not been limited to the usual cats and dogs.
JMoF also plays host to various activities including talks, photo shoots, music performances and more. Foreigners are welcome to attend. The event’s website has an English version. Organizers held the first JMoF convention in 2013.
Applications ended on Nov. 30 the judges are expected to have a hard time on deciding which owners will be awarded bragging rights for their pets. Alfred Bayle /ra
