TOKYO–Sony on Tuesday said its websites in three countries have been hacked, including in Greece where 8,500 user accounts had been compromised, adding it did not think credit card data had been stolen.

It said that on Sunday it discovered the security breach on its Greek Sony Music Entertainment website and immediately stopped the service, which remains shut down.

The Japanese entertainment and technology giant said that it had also discovered on Saturday that a page on its Indonesian website had been altered.
