Globe users vent ire over service interruption

/ 11:36 AM April 28, 2018

Globe Telecom prepaid subscribers vented their ire on social media following an interruption in their call, short messaging and internet connectivity services.

According to a statement from Globe Senior Vice President for Corporate Communications Yoly Crisanto, the “system issue” has been addressed at around 11 a.m. on Saturday.

“We wish to inform our prepaid customers that all mobile services — voice, SMS and data — are now fully restored.  Thank you for your continued support and understanding,” Crisanto said.

Netizens complained of loss of internet connection, inability to send and receive text messages and make calls. One person asked on Twitter if she was the only one experiencing data and messaging problems with Globe, even if her phone’s signal strength is high.

Globe apologized for the interruption in a previous statement the company released.

“Restoration of services is ongoing and we will issue another advisory as soon as the issue is resolved. We apologize for this inconvenience,” Crisanto said earlier. /muf
