The Samsung Galaxy A7 was revealed Thursday and its main claim to fame? Being the ultimate selfie phone.
It’s clear which feature Samsung feels most strongly about in this newest addition to the A series: despite its other innovative new features, Samsung outlined the triple lens camera in depth when presenting the new model.
The 8MP 120° Ultra Wide Lens spans as much as the human eye so users don’t miss out on getting everything they want in the picture.
The 24MP lens helps users take pictures in all lighting conditions, day or night, by allowing more light in by “combining four pixels into one pixel in low light conditions,” notes the company.
The third Depth Lens makes the depth in the image customizable. One can control just how deep the photo is by adjusting the bokeh effect oneself.
The front camera has an adjustable LED flash for custom control of selfies, as well as the Selfie Focus and Pro Lighting Mode features that make photos look professional. Plus, the filters are built-in, so no need to go to Instagram for that perfect sepia image.
The pics are presented on a huge but trendy 6-inch screen with a Super AMOLED display, with a 1080 x 2220 resolution that curves around the edges of the device, also known as the classic Samsung Infinity Display.
The model also comes with Bixby and Samsung Health.
Samsung’s Galaxy A7 is set to roll out this fall in Asian and European markets. Its price has not yet been announced. JB
