An orphaned chimpanzee in the care of an animal sanctuary in Freetown, Sierra Leone in Africa is using an oxygen machine to help her breathe while battling a case of viral pneumonia.

The Tacugama Chimpanzee Sanctuary shared the image of baby Ana with an oxygen mask as she’s being cuddled by a carer on Facebook on Thursday, Oct. 25.

“Little Ana is receiving oxygen as she has a viral broncho-pneumonia, which causes inflammation of the lungs and breathing difficulties,” wrote the sanctuary. “Thankfully, Ana is recovering well.” KM
