CIA launches official Instagram account
MANILA, Philippines — The Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) launched its official Instagram account on Thursday, April 25.
With the caption “I spy with my little eye,” CIA shared a photo of what appears to be a CIA agent’s office desk with items related to espionage work like a wig, maps of China, Russia and Iran, and a paper bag labeled “Top secret pulp.”

Article continues after this advertisementThe agency also slipped in some Easter eggs including the first badge of CIA Director Gina Haspel when she joined the United States intelligence gathering agency in 1985.
According to The Verge, CIA spokesperson Chelsea Robinson said the account aims to give a peek into what is life inside the agency.
“Through the account, we’ll give a peek into Agency life, but we can’t promise any selfies from secret locations,” Robinson said.

Written in the account’s bio is the agency’s mission statement which read: “We accomplish what others cannot accomplish and go where others cannot go.” /muf
