For Panasonic, it’s cool to be ‘green’

THERE IS a growing need to address problems in the environment, brought about by climate change, which has been threatening the fragile ecological balance of the planet.

Panasonic Manufacturing Philippines Corp. (PMPC) is bent on promoting initiatives that will contribute to solutions, rather than aggravate problems, by coming out with earth-friendly quality appliances.

Panasonic has introduced ecological innovations in its refrigerators, washing machines and compact stereo systems.

Ecologically sound

It also installed the “EcoNavi” feature in all its air conditioner models—wall mounted, split type, and cassette type.

EcoNavi is an ecologically sound technology that intelligently detects where energy is wasted and automatically adjusts its cooling power to reduce waste. Its high precision sensors and control program technologies serve to optimize operations based on specific room conditions.

The “EcoNavi” feature promises energy savings of up 30 percent. This is apart from the savings to be had using the Inverter technology, which may cut electricity consumption by as much as 50 percent.

Panasonic also introduces its first washing machine with anti-bacterial cleaning features.

The new Panasonic NA-F90H2 is equipped with an AG Ion generator that allows water to pass through AG Crystals, producing an anti-bacterial effect. As a result, consumers need not buy anti-bacterial products for their laundry.

Reducing power use

It is also equipped with an Auto Power Off function that automatically shut downs even during power outage and recalls its previous settings by pressing the start button via its Semi-Auto Restart function.

These two features may reduce energy consumption by an additional 30 percent, and lessen power used during standby mode.

Energy efficient

Panasonic also impressed consumers by introducing its latest line of “Silveo” series the “BY Series Plus Style Vegerator” and the “BW Series Inverter Vegerator” refrigerator models. These models feature the highest energy efficiency ratings (EER), and Inverter power control technology that delivers an energy consumption savings of up to 40 percent.

Then there’s Panasonic’s SC-HC25 compact stereo system.

It delivers elegant and superb high fidelity audio experience for music lovers.
