Bandai Namco will be giving away copies of its new action role-playing game “Code Vein” to people who will donate blood during its release on Friday, Sept. 27.
The video game developer is teaming up with the American Red Cross to host a blood drive during the launch, as per Bandai Namco’s post on Twitter yesterday, Sept. 23. The drive will take place in Gaslamp Square in San Diego, California, in the US.
The event fall in line with one of the main elements of “Code Vein”—blood. The new game is set in a post-apocalyptic world, where only a few humans survive. These people are now called Revenants and only continue to live, thanks to Gifts, a special power that they gain from consuming blood.
“Code Vein” will be released on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC.
Bandai Namco is the developer behind such popular video games as “Pacman,” “Tekken” and some installments based on the anime “Naruto.” /ra
