Meta AI chatbot is coming to the Philippines

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg on Oct. 9 announced via WhatsApp that he would launch the Meta AI chatbot in the Philippines and five other countries. 

The report comes from TechCrunch, which includes Bolivia, Guatemala, Brazil, Paraguay, and the United Kingdom.

At the time of writing, meta.ai was inaccessible in the Philippines, so the rollout seems to have a slight delay. Nevertheless, it’s ideal to know about its features so you try them at launch.

How does the Meta AI chatbot work?

The Meta AI chatbot works like OpenAI’s GPT-4. It generates text answers and images based on user prompts and online information. 

It stands out because it’s free. Conversely, you need a ChatGPT Plus subscription to use the latest OpenAI large language models, which costs $20 or roughly ₱1,144.60.

People may access the Meta AI chatbot via a web browser at meta.ai. Alternatively, you may open it on Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, and WhatsApp.
