Inquirer-tablet bundle out soon
Inquirer Group employees get a first look at the Inquirer Group’s soon-to-be-launched tablet-Digital Newsstand bundle, which combines a high-end Huawei MediaPad Android tablet with access to over 30 Inquirer Group newspapers, magazines and e-books on the group’s Digital Newsstand.
The bundle makes it possible for Inquirer readers to experience the ease of getting the full content of the Inquirer Group’s print publications on a tablet for easy reading during commutes and when traveling, according to JV Rufino, the Inquirer Group’s director for mobile.
In addition to the full content of the periodicals (many of which are not available on the group’s web portal, INQUIRER.net), the Inquirer Group’s Android app—pre-installed on the tablet—also makes sharing content easy via Twitter, Facebook and e-mail. Read-aloud capabilities and several zoom levels also make the periodicals easier to consume.
