Taiwan Excellence showcases innovation, technology and sustainability at the Taiwan Expo 2025

Taiwan Excellence displayed the best of Taiwan during the Taiwan Expo 2025 held recently at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City.  The Taiwan Excellence Pavilion became the most talked about centerpiece during the three-day event. Each nook and cranny of the Pavilion represents Taiwan’s vision of tomorrow, featuring aspects about how innovation builds Smart City, enriches lives for a Comfortable Life, and drives sustainability for a Greener Future. These concepts, when merged, can help shape a brighter, smarter, and more sustainable world.

The Pavilion featured 20 Taiwan Excellence-awarded brands and 39 innovative products and solutions, proudly made in Taiwan, that are dedicated to improving people’s everyday life.  The diverse display—from USBs and portable fire extinguishers to health and wellness, and high-tech lifestyle gadgets—resonated with this year’s theme billed as “Inspiring Tomorrow: Solutions for a Brighter Life”.

The exhibit was even made more special by the presence of Miss Universe 2018, Catriona Gray, who had a meet and greet, gave photo opportunities, and signed autographs for the expo attendees.  She also headlined an interactive pageant-style quiz contest and challenged participants to shadow her famous “Fashion walk” and pose with some of the Taiwan Excellence merchandise.  Gray also welcomed the VIP guests (together with Fu Bear, Taiwan Excellence’s popular mascot).  The presence of the well-loved beauty queen underscored the collaboration of Taiwan and the Philippines in producing and promoting products and solutions that will improve the quality of life. 

VIP guests include Simon Wang, President and CEO of the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA, Taiwan’s foremost trade promotion organization in strengthening global connections), who gave the Welcome Remarks; and James Huang, the current Chairman of TAITRA. TAITRA has advanced international partnerships, fostering economic growth, innovation, and social exchange that link Taiwan with the world.  Also included in the powerhouse guests list is Josephine Shun, Director of the Economic Division at the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office (TECO) in the Philippines.

Among the 39 award-winning products on display, four breakthrough companies stood out: Vinxper, Team Group, Zyxel Networks, and HEPTY International Technology. These are esteemed Taiwanese companies that have introduced groundbreaking products. 

HEPTY International Technology, for instance, is recognized for its innovative lifestyle and consumer electronics solutions. Its product range spans smart home devices, audio equipment, and mobile accessories that bring greater convenience and connectivity to daily life. At the Expo, HEPTY introduced its latest portable high-tech firefighting technology which could be turned into a personal disaster-prevention gear. HEPTY’s No-Pressure Little Rocket all-in-one fire extinguisher employs magnetic-activation aerosol technology in a 220g ultralight, and a non-pressurized canister to eliminate explosion risk. “Traditional fire extinguishers are bulky and too complicated to use, it requires training. And because it is filled with high-pressure gas, it could explode in extreme heat,” HEPTY Sales Manager, Charge Lu, explained.   HEPTY has developed an innovative pressure-free fire extinguisher that is light and portable.  “It’s handy and easy to use, and it’s also shock resistant, pressure-resistant, and explosion-proof.  It is effective to use in all types of fires.  All you have to do is to twist the yellow cap, pull the pin to activate the patented green magnetic system, then you can already extinguish a fire in just seconds,” Lu added. HEPTY’s fire extinguisher is safe and has an eco-friendly startup system and is harmless to electrical appliances, people and the environment. 

In Southeast Asia, Taiwan is known for its semiconductor industry and outstanding Taiwanese company Team Group Inc. produces its own brand of memory modules, memory cards, RAMs, USB Flash drives, solid-state drives, peripheral series, and industrial applications.  Launched in Taiwan in 1997, the company aims at the global layout of R&D technology and manufacturing in memory products.  Some of its products are already distributed in the Philippines, according to George Pascua Velasco, Local Sales Representative, Team Group Inc.  “Taiwan is known for its booming IT industry and Team Group has always been about quality and eco-friendly IT products with strict industry standards that prioritize sustainability,” he said.  In fact, the company has produced the first eco-friendly RGB Overclocking DDR5 Memory made from recycled plastic and is packed in FSC-Certified eco-friendly paper packaging to protect the earth’s ecology.   This trailblazing product is not only the first of its kind in Taiwan, but in the whole global IT industry. “We are proud to be a part of the Taiwan Excellence Pavillion, and Team Group promises to continue providing good quality products that are aesthetic in design, efficient, and eco-friendly,” Velasco beamed.

Unlike other entry-level firewall products that require additional wireless access points, the USG LITE 60AX integrates WiFi functionality to solve these pain points. It is a next-generation cybersecurity network product. 

The Pavilion also unveiled state-of-the-art household gadgets like the world’s 4th generation Vinxper Adjustable Electric Wine Aerator which has actually been conferred with Taiwan Excellence Award for 2025.  This year’s winner, the 4th generation Vinxper Adjustable Electric Wine Aerator, was developed by Vinxper Life Co., Ltd., the original team behind Vinaera, the world’s first electronic wine aerator.
